Wonka

Last Tuesday I was invited by The Dharmawangsa to experience its signature massage named Bimasena Signature Massage for 90 minutes. It was really incredible since its purpose was to make the body fit, fresh & healthy again.

Before the treatment began, I waited here. The room is so comfy I felt sleepy already. I was asked to fill some kind of agreement sheet so they really knew what's best for me, my health condition & that I agreed about the treatment I received.

First was footbath. This is the only treatment's picture I share due to personal reason. The rest was a super energizing massage.

I chose to drink ginger tea after the spa & it tasted so good.

The place where I drank my ginger tea.

After that, I received another generous invitation from The Dharmawangsa to enjoy its famous afternoon tea set at Majapahit Lounge. Couldn't say no to desserts, could we?

This was the western snacks. There were beef carpaccio, finger sandwich, black rice with salmon & cheese, chocolate mousse, macaron, raisin scones, creme brulee & mini cakes (The bold ones were things that I ate). I also got to taste the local desserts such as kue cucur & pastel, believe me.. their kue cucur is so good it's crunchy & sweet. The savory bites I tried were samosa.

This was the raisin scones. I added the raspberry compote to make it even more delicious. It's so yummy.

For the tea, I ordered chamomile tea & I also added a wedge of lemon & a little bit of honey.

Overall, me & the manager of The Dharmawangsa ordered jasmine tea & chamomile tea. All tea come from Jing.

It was such a pleasurable visit. The food was so delightful I was so full that day.

Thank you.

ps: all these experiences were given due to the write-ups for HSBC's Wealth & Beyond magazine.

Day 2

The second day! We decided to watch Barong dance in Sanur in the morning. We had Western-style breakfast consisted of mushroom, scrambled egg, fried egg and toasts before that.

The minute we wanted to hop on the mini van, we made a little birthday celebration for my aunt.

Chocolate cake from Bali Bakery was specially prepared

Let's go to watch the legendary Barong dance! We got a little late, maybe it was already the 3rd/4th/5th stage of the show when we arrived. I didn't really keep up.

Then we went to Warung Eropa for lunch. I had the creamy Pasta Carbonara and the most sour and refreshing lemonade I've ever drunk.

This one was unique. My cousin ordered Yakult Booze, which was actually an orange-pineapple juice blended together with Yakult. Interesting presentation though

Next, we went to have an indulging gelato at Gusto. The queue was quite insane.

There were so many options! This picture only showed the left part, there was actually another part on the right. I picked one flavor called Prandillo or something, I forgot. You can actually have only one or two different flavors in one cup, both in the same price #happiness

It was this one. So, good

Then, we went to Seminyak Square. I planned to find a perfect swimsuit, but again... failed.

There was a line of local bazaar, selling summer dresses, pants and accessories. The collection was great and the price was quite reasonable. My mom got a printed dress

Returned to villa.

Dipped my feet for a while to release fatigue

Next, getting ready for the real birthday celebration that was birthday dinner at Potato Head Beach Club. Before that, we took some photos together with a black/white dresscode at the villa.

The sunset at Potato Head

For the drink, I ordered Vanilla Ice Coffee

and Handmade Linguini for the main course

It's my 9th day in Japan and our last destination was Kyoto. The idea was to try out some kimono and feel pretty.

This was what we had to go through. We walked up to the hill to find a good kimono rental store. It's kinda pricey, though. If you want to see my choice of kimono, you can see on my Instagram @fi_risa. After changing, we went straight to the temple to take some photos.

This was the view from the top of the temple. Refreshing...

After the temple trip, we went down to the local markets. And look what we found, some kind of Totoro village going on here... It's so cute, there even has a giant Totoro sitting comfortly.

Just a street in Kyoto that is so peaceful.

Then we went back to Osaka... to do some last shopping, sadly.

My last look of Osaka :'(

I was waiting for my cousin on the outside of Apple store and two girls carrying 1D Official Shop bags walked in front of me. I stopped them immediately and asked them where was this heavenly store of 1D. Then i found it. Normally i just give you this 1 teaser because i didnt have much time to take photos of the store, i was 'a bit' preoccupied.

This is Pablo, a super delicious tart shop in Shinsaibashi. I've wanted to go there the first time i saw it. I tried its chocolate tart and it tasted like heaven. One is not enough.

Just a glimpse of Osaka when i was flying to Tokyo...

A serene view near the Osaka Castle

Street food! The legendary and authentic takoyaki

I tried one of these. It's strawberry-flavored mochi topped with strawberry. I got so interested by the look of them

I dont know what this building is exactly but it looks cool, like anciently cool...

Now this is the castle...

The view when i reached the top of the castle

It's always so exciting when i went to mini markets in Japan. There were lots of cute and fascinating food, drinks and stuff to find. For example, this almond milk from Glico. So yum...

We were sooo excited for this! We planned to visit the haunted house that is ultimately scary and the world's famous killer roller coaster, Fujiyama. Those were the priorities.

We spent hours and hours to get to Fujikyu Highland. It's a Japanese theme park near the Mount Fuji, so it's undoubtedly cold and windy

This is the haunted house i'm talking about. You can buy a charm too. They say that if you have the charm, the ghost will be weakened. But it's no fun right? Duuuh. Turns out i felt so deppressed in here...I even fell on my two fucking knees.

This was my cure after the 30-mins journey in the haunted house. I literally ran out of breath because of running and screaming. My heart was beating so fast. And i was not exaggerating. I couldn't even join my cousins for Fujiyama roller coaster because i was still exhausted. But the haunted house is definitely worth a try, believe me.

This made me calm and warm a bit too

Out for dinner in Shinjuku

I ordered salted salmon. It was sooo tasty...

We went there to take a picture with the famous Hachiko statue in Shibuya and find my cousin' treasure, Adidas Y3...

The first picture when i got in Shibuya

I found Ashley Yukaaa. She posted this ad on her Instagram as well. What an adorable girl...

I found this 'fossil' at Seibu mall in Shibuya. It's a cool object you can find in a mall

Then i found Kikooo... This Panasonic ad is spreading everywhere, from building to trains.

Harajuku...

What a view...

This keeps me going... It's Georgia coffee

I visited Lush store in Harajuku and it's a cute, natural, homey store. These are the examples of their masks and it smells sooo good, especially the 'rosy something' one. I got so interested in this because i didn't find this kind of thing in Indonesia.
.

Look! They're making a face cleanser!

A quiet long road in Harajuku... So calming

And then went to the crowded street again...

Back to Shinjukuuu

We were invited  to the dinner with my uncle's relatives from Japan at The Shinjuku Washington Hotel. Yummm medium rare...

This was the chef for that night. He was making fried rice

Time for dessert. It's a sorbet with cream and fruits. A perfect ending...
