Day 3

The last day... We decided to go to Ku De Ta for brunch. It was one sunny day.

The latest of Ku De Ta fyi

I was having smoothie consisted of raspberry, kiwi and other fruits that I didn't remember. I already had too many sweet and creamy food/drinks in Bali so I thought that having a refreshing sour treat would be the best pick. I needed Vitamin C anyway to keep me fit and healthy

This was hot cakes which was absolutely delicious. The pancakes were so moist and very delightful. The sauce were maple syrup and blueberry

-Checking out

-Went to Krisna to buy gifts

-Lunch at Wardani

-Airport; finally i got to finish watching the rest of Finding Dory

Then oh my God, it's already Jakarta.

Day 2

The second day! We decided to watch Barong dance in Sanur in the morning. We had Western-style breakfast consisted of mushroom, scrambled egg, fried egg and toasts before that.

The minute we wanted to hop on the mini van, we made a little birthday celebration for my aunt.

Chocolate cake from Bali Bakery was specially prepared

Let's go to watch the legendary Barong dance! We got a little late, maybe it was already the 3rd/4th/5th stage of the show when we arrived. I didn't really keep up.

Then we went to Warung Eropa for lunch. I had the creamy Pasta Carbonara and the most sour and refreshing lemonade I've ever drunk.

This one was unique. My cousin ordered Yakult Booze, which was actually an orange-pineapple juice blended together with Yakult. Interesting presentation though

Next, we went to have an indulging gelato at Gusto. The queue was quite insane.

There were so many options! This picture only showed the left part, there was actually another part on the right. I picked one flavor called Prandillo or something, I forgot. You can actually have only one or two different flavors in one cup, both in the same price #happiness

It was this one. So, good

Then, we went to Seminyak Square. I planned to find a perfect swimsuit, but again... failed.

There was a line of local bazaar, selling summer dresses, pants and accessories. The collection was great and the price was quite reasonable. My mom got a printed dress

Returned to villa.

Dipped my feet for a while to release fatigue

Next, getting ready for the real birthday celebration that was birthday dinner at Potato Head Beach Club. Before that, we took some photos together with a black/white dresscode at the villa.

The sunset at Potato Head

For the drink, I ordered Vanilla Ice Coffee

and Handmade Linguini for the main course

On October 22, I went to Bali in order to celebrate my aunt's birthday on October 23rd. My flight was in early morning so it made me quite sleepy, but I was also really excited to go to Bali with my family! This was my third time. I flew with Garuda Indonesia and I spent my flight watching Finding Dory, listening to M2M songs and eating delicious rice + chicken.

Day 1

I arrived in Bali in the afternoon and we went straight to Made's Warung for lunch. I ordered Nasi Campur and had its dark chocolate gelato #satisfied. We also picked up some tasty brownies there.

Then we arrived at Villa Kinara in Seminyak. It was kind of secluded and sooo comfy and soothing.

My welcome drink

The view from the balcony

They got a bit preoccupied

This was the room I shared with my cousin upstairs

After resting a bit in the villa, we went to Menega Cafe in Jimbaran to have the best seafood by the beach.

We ordered grilled fish, shrimps, fried battered squid, crabs, and the most delightful for me was the clams.

Some people flew lanterns which made the night looked so beautiful and romantic.

Then we went to supermarket to buy some snacks and stuff. I was looking for a swimsuit but didn't get the type that I wanted.

Head back to the bed.

See you on the next chapter, 'A Trip to Bali part 2' :)

Sunday, January 17th 2016.

It was raining, at around 3:50 pm. I sat on my parents' bed watching Monte Carlo. It was a typical sunday, really. Then i got a text from my dad, and then my mom. They just commanded me & my brother to go to my uncle's place, immediately. I changed my clothes in a rush. Thank God i have the ability to decide what to wear efficiently. One quick question from my dad, "do you & ur brother want sirloin?". Yes. It's unquestionable. My love for steaks is unconditional. So i assumed that we're about to have BBQ like we had on NYE party.

At 5 pm, i hopped into GrabCar.

I arrived at around 6. My cousins just sitting on a couch watching movie on Netflix. My uncles, parents, & aunt were just having a casual conversation. I walked to the table, there were two slices of pizza, mom said that my uncle made them himself. It was so good, light, and soft. Then i had steak, it was so juicy & delicious, very well-seasoned. It also made by my uncle. He was pretty good at cooking. It was slightly pink on the inside, my absolute favorite.

After having those indulging meals, i sat on the couch just browsing through the list of movies, trying to decide what to watch. From action to romance, believe me, we ended up watching silly videos that my brother picked on Youtube. Classic.

Wow it's been a long time since the last time i wrote a post this long.

Pizza-making time has arriiiiiiiiived! So excited. The dough has already done so it's a lot easier for me & my cousin to just act like Gordon Ramsay & Jamie Oliver.

So here's how it started. First we kneaded the pizza dough on the wood board, but we spread the flour onto the board and our hands before kneading. The dough was so delicate & kinda sticky, but we managed it well. I put a little amount of olive oil on the baking tray, the circle one. At first we tried to make a thin crust with a bottle, because we didnt have a rolling pin. We failed. So we just simply put the dough on the tray & spread it with our 'pretty' little fingers to the edge (sadly we couldnt do the hand-tossing method). Uncle made the tomato sauce himself & it was yummy, i poured it on top of the dough. Cousin grated the cheese (it was parmesan & mozzarella) & believe me, when you do it yourself, be generous on the tomato sauce & cheese. They will never fail you. Pre-heat the oven (200 Celcius degree), bake it for 10 minutes. Let it do the magic.

Ta-daaaaaaaa! Scrumptious....

We happened to have another batch of dough. So my cousin gave an idea to turn it into mini pizza. She cut the dough into six pieces, we did the same steps like the first pizza, but we used a square tray. This time, we decided to add another topping, smoked beef. I fried the nicely chopped smoked beef, didnt need to add some oil because the smoked beef would release its natural fat & juices. Add the smoked beef & extra extra cheese on top of the dough. Same baking method.
